The Open Secret Band at Spring Fling Festival 1987 was at the Bozeman, Montana, Gallatin County Fairgrounds on May 30, 1987. The members of the band were Dewey Martin, Rick Roberts, Billy Darnell, Randy Meisner, Cary Park, and Bray Ghiglia. In 1996 Randy produced the reunion album for the Electric Range band, of which Billy Darnell was a member.
Nicolette Larson, a Montana native, headlines this festival. Jack Sundrud of Poco played in her band, and he is seen talking with Randy in the backstage photo with Randy below. The photographer, Wilson Roberts, explained that Jack was there because he was playing in Nicolette’s band.
Open Secret Band was soon after renamed to the Roberts-Meisner Band.
