At Fort Lewis College in Durango the Eagles performed for about 1,900 persons on April 2, 1974 in the new gym. This was part of their ‘On the Border’ tour, and the ‘On the Border’ album was released less than two weeks earlier. The show was opened by the first act of John Mascaro and Sam Vann, who were FLC students. Then the Talbot Brothers (John and Terry) were next, followed by the Eagles. According to John Mascaro the Eagles did not want cameras at the concert, so John was not able to take any photos himself that night.
The preceding day, April 1, the Eagles performed at another Colorado college, Regis College in Denver. The Talbot Brothers opened for that concert, as well.
