Randy Meisner and the Silverados performed at the Agora Ballroom in Columbus, Ohio, on March 8, 1981. That day was also Randy’s 35th birthday. There were about 800 in the audience, and the Corbin-Hanner Band from Pittsburgh opened for the Silverados. The Columbus Agora, now called the Newport Music Hall, is the longest continuously running rock-and-roll club in the U. S.
The next evening (March 9) they appeared at the Agora in Cleveland, Ohio. Randy was interviewed by Fred Griffith of the “Afternoon Exchange” talk show on the 9th before the Agora Cleveland concert.
A few days earlier on March 4 the Silverados had a show at Park West Theater in Chicago. Then, March 11 and 12 they were at the Bottom Line in New York. Both February and March were very busy months for the Silverados in 1981.

“Drummer Craig Krampf presented Meisner with a t-shirt as a birthday present from the Silverados.”
“After some members of the audience began throwing their cowboy hats onstage, Heston* warned them that ‘If you people want to throw anything up here besides ice, you better put your name and phone number on it.’ Krampf returned the aerial ‘favors’ by throwing his drumsticks into the crowd on several occasions.”
