The Eagles Rock and Roll Tennis Festival was a charitable benefit with the proceeds going to cancer research. It was held at the L.A. Tennis Club, but the Eagles did not actually attend. They were busy in Miami recording the Hotel California album at Criteria Studios. The Eagles Rock and Roll Tennis Festival, which was proposed by a lawyer to the Eagles, raised more than $20,000 for L.A.’s Concern Foundation for Cancer Research.”
