This Madison Square Garden Eagles concert was the Eagles’ first MSG appearance in New York City, and it was just three days before the Capital Centre concert in Largo, MD. Jimmy Buffett was their opening act.

There was an elaborate party for the Eagles (with an eagle ice sculpture) at the Penn Plaza Club after the concert. It was hosted by Elektra/Asylum, and photos are below. The label submitted a list of 39 journalists to be be invited to the party, but the Eagles rejected all but four of those invitations.
There were several New York and eastern US concerts in March 1977. Then in April and May they were off to England, Scotland, Germany, Netherlands, and Sweden.

Of course, the actual song title is ‘New Kid in Town’. This writer has a few other song titles incorrect in the review below. Another incorrect song title is ‘Trying Love Again’, instead of ‘Try and Love Again’.
