The Eagles were at the War Memorial Auditorium in Rochester, NY on March 19, 1977 to perform before a sell-out crowd. This was the fourth stop of the Eagles’ eastern U.S. tour during March. Two stops in Canada were also included in the tour schedule. March 15-16 they were at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY, and the Eagles were at Madison Square Garden on March 18. Jimmy Buffett opened for them at the War Memorial. Then the famous Capital Centre shows followed on March 21-22, 1977. The Eagles were very busy during March 1977. These shows were all part of the Hotel California tour.

“With Frey on the piano they brought rounds of cheers to versions of ‘Lyin’ Eyes’, ‘Desperado’, ‘ Take It to the Limit’, and others.”
“The answer for the group’s success is the effort and the special interplay between all of the musicians in the band. The Eagles learned and were influenced by the group Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.”

I lived near Rochester when the Eagles played there. It was my first concert at 16 years old and the Eagles music became the soundtrack to my high school years. Miss it so much!!
I wish I had seen them back in the day. It would be wonderful to have those memories.
