Poco appeared at the Tower Theatre in Houston on August 27, 1990 with Kris McKay as their opening act. Kris had appeared numerous times with Poco. This concert stop in Houston was a part of the Legacy tour.

Once again, your highlighted area in the newspaper clipping says it all. Messina said that inefficient management held the group back (in the first version of Poco). I wonder if Randy knew that and that’s part of reason he left.
I’m thinking that Randy did know, because I’m sure I read in more than one article that Poco’s manager advised against them going to Woodstock and booked them at some other lesser-known gig instead. Woodstock was after Randy had already left, though.
Wow, I never heard that about Woodstock. What a bad move on their Manager’s part.
Look at that beautiful Art-Deco Tower Theatre.
Architecture like that needs to be preserved.
