The Roosevelt Stadium Eagles concert in Jersey City was performed before an overflow crowd of over 25,000 people, despite periodic rain showers and poor stadium conditions. A newspaper review states that “an absolutely astounding version of Meisner’s Take It To the Limit” was performed that night. This New Jersey show was the next evening after their 2-night performance at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. Then they were back to the west coast by August 3 for a Day On the Green concert in Oakland, CA.
For this Jersey City “One Of These Nights” tour stop Boz Scaggs opened for the Eagles, playing what was described as white soul, blues, disco, and rock.

One of my favorite concert venues as a young man.
I was 18 years old and loving life along with the Eagles.
It sounds like it would have been a great concert to attend in Jersey City.
First concert I ever attended. Sat on the grass. My buddy and I were 16 years old.
Miss those days.
For your first concert to have been the Eagles is definitely awesome…especially during the summer. I bet it was a blast, and hopefully the rain didn’t interfere too much.
