World Classic Rockers in Las Cruces, New Mexico – Sept. 26, 1997

The World Classic Rockers in Las Cruces, New Mexico with Randy Meisner were at the “Rock the Night Away” concert on September 26. 1997. The concert was held in the Pan American Center on the campus of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. A band called “The Refreshments” was also on the bill.

The World Classic Rockers is a rock supergroup that was founded in 1995 by Nick St. Nicholas of Steppenwolf. The member lineup rotates and changes depending on the availability of a musician at any given time. The band members that were at this show were:

  • Randy Meisner of Poco and the Eagles
  • Bobby Kimball of Toto
  • Denny Laine of the Moody Blues and Wings
  • Michael Monarch of Steppenwolf
  • Nick St. Nicholas of Steppenwolf

  1. The talent up on the stage during the WCR gigs. The soundtrack to my youth! I’m so glad that Randy was able to perform “Try and Love Again” after he left the Eagles. It is such a great song!
