The Freedom Hall Eagles concert in Louisville, KY was on July 21, 1976. JD Souther opened the concert for the Eagles, and it appears JD didn’t have the best night as mentioned in the article below. Freedom Hall is an arena in Louisville on the grounds of the Kentucky Exposition Center. This concert was the night following the Olympia Stadium show of July 20 in Detroit, and was part of their One of These Nights tour. Their Three Rivers Stadium concert in Pittsburgh, PA was three days later on July 24.
This concert is considered part of a famous slate of shows at Freedom Hall. In 1976 over the span of four nights Freedom Hall concert goers could see Elton John, the Eagles, and Elvis. It’s called the “week of the three Es”.
