“Hotel California: LA from the Byrds to the Eagles” is the complete three-part documentary produced by BBC Four in England. There’s a lot of Bernie Leadon talking, and some of the segments you’ll recognize as used in the History of the Eagles documentary (HOTE). All three parts of this Eagles BBC documentary total about 88 minutes, and Part Three primarily focuses on the Eagles.
This whole documentary is intriguing to watch. There’s input from several recognizable people in the music business like Henry Diltz, David Geffen, JD Souther, Jackson Browne, Ned Doheny, Linda Ronstadt, Peter Asher, Bonnie Raitt, Pamela Des Barres, Van Dyke Parks, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Mark Volman, Joni Mitchell, Joel Bernstein, Nils Lofgren, Andrew Gold, and others.
In Part Three: Included is some footage of the BBC concert from March of 1973. You can see the whole concert on the BBC In Concert page. Henry Diltz talks a lot about the Desperado photo shoot, and there are a couple more short videos of Henry talking about that on the Desperado page.

Wow! I had never seen that before. Very interesting.
I found this probably a couple of years ago and had it saved. It’s fun to uncover stuff I forgot I had.
I’d seen this whole programme on BBC4 TV so it’s good to see these video clips again.
I found them a long time ago on YouTube. I have a feeling what I posted is not complete, since Jackson is already talking when the first part starts.
