Louisiana State University in the LSU Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, LA was the site for the Eagles concert of November 5, 1976. JD Souther opened for the Eagles, and the next night (Nov. 6) was the concert at The Summit in Houston. The Eagles were playing somewhere almost every night in November 1976.
It was mentioned on the LSU yearbook page that someone in the audience threw something at Randy and hit him in the head while he was on stage.

It’s hard to believe someone lucky enough to be so close to the stage would decide to throw an object at Randy.

“The singing lead shifted from one number to another highlighted by Randy Meisner’s solo on Take It To the Limit, and drummer Don Henley’s job on the well-received Desperado.”

“From the moment the Eagles came on stage and broke into ‘Take It Easy,’ the audience, which had been cold throughout the performance of the warmup band was electrified.”
