Day on the Green – June 29, 1975

The Day on the Green Eagles concert was June 29, 1975. Also there that day in Oakland, CA were the Doobie Brothers, Commander Cody, and Kingfish. Elton John made a surprise visit to both the Eagles and Doobie Brothers on stage. This concert was just a week after the Eagles returned from the Wembley Mid-Summer Music concert in London.

In addition to 1975, the Eagles were at the Day on the Green concerts in 1976 and 1977. Bill Graham was the organizer and promoter for Day on the Green.

  1. Thanks Diana. That would have been amazing if there had a been an audio or a video of this day. Plenty of great photos and articles though so grateful for those.

  2. This must have been a great concert! I can’t believe the crowds in the photos. Thanks, Diana. You’ve pulled together so many photos of this day many of them new to me.
