Dillon Stadium Eagles concert in Hartford, CT – Sept. 25, 1972

The Dillon Stadium Eagles concert in Hartford, Connecticut was on September 25, 1972. The Eagles were touring with and supporting the Close to the Edge tour with Yes. Edgar Winter also was an opening act for Yes. This was the Eagles’ first tour.

The concert was originally set for August 14, but had to be rescheduled due to heavy rain. (Dillon is an outdoor stadium.) This Dillon Stadium show was one of several they opened for Yes in September and October of 1972. This concert was a few days after their Indianapolis concert on September 20.

“Edgar Winter and Eagles will appear at Dillon Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. Their original concert, scheduled for Monday night, was canceled when a two-hour downpour turned Dillon Stadium into a soggy mudbath.”
