The Eagles concert at Jeppesen Stadium in Houston was on June 30, 1974, and it was one of the stops on their On the Border tour. The stadium was on the campus of the University of Houston.
The Eagles were there in support of the Allman Brothers Band. In 1974 the Eagles were still sometimes the warm-up band for other bands. Don Felder had joined the Eagles earlier in the year.

“They were followed by Eagles. In the two years since its last appearance here on a Jackson Browne concert this group has pulled together quite an act. Its music this time around was significantly more relaxed and measured in place, and not nearly so strident and forced as before.”
