Eagles concert at University of New Mexico Arena – Dec. 10, 1976

The Eagles concert at University of New Mexico was in the University Arena (nicknamed “The Pit”). This Albuquerque concert occurred on December 10, 1976. It was originally scheduled for October 29, which was the university’s homecoming weekend. The Eagles were required to finish the Hotel California album, so they had to reschedule the concert appearance for December 10. The Hotel California album was released just two days earlier on December 8, 1976.

JD Souther opened for the Eagles in New Mexico and also the next night when they all played the Civic Center in El Paso, TX. Like this University Albuquerque concert the El Paso concert was postponed due to the Eagles finishing up the Hotel California recordings. The El Paso show was originally scheduled for October 30, but it was postponed til December 11.
