The Eagles In Concert TV show taping at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) was in the university’s Royce Hall. The Eagles and several other bands were filmed on June 20 & 22, 1973. The two tapings of all these mini concerts were free to UCLA students to attend, and they were then aired on ABC’s “In Concert” in August in two separate televised shows (Aug. 3 and Aug. 17). The Eagles segment aired on August 3, 1973. Ike and Tina Turner also aired on August 3.
This UCLA appearance in June 1973 was part of their Desperado tour. The video for the Eagles’ segment of Tequila Sunrise, Earlybird, and Witchy Woman is below. Randy Meisner is wearing his John Deere shirt.
