This Maple Leaf Gardens concert in Toronto, Ontario was the day after the Forum concert in Montreal and just a few days after the Capital Centre shows in Landover, Maryland. It was one of the last concerts before the Eagles’ overseas tour of England, Scotland, Germany, Netherlands, and Sweden in April and May. These shows were all part of the Hotel California tour. Jimmy Buffett opened for them that night for their sellout crowd.
The Eagles were presented with a platinum record for Hotel California after this concert in Toronto. Photos from that presentation are below and also on the Hotel California page.

“When guitarist-pianist Glenn Frey, one of the main singers and song-writers for the group, along with drummer Don Henley, opened the concert with the title cut from the band’s latest album, Hotel California, the audience went berserk.”
