The University of Cincinnati Eagles concert was May 8, 1975 in the Armory Fieldhouse on campus. Dan Fogelberg opened for the Eagles, and the concert was part of the One of These Nights tour.
This concert was just a few days after the Kent State Ohio concert of May 3, 1975 (which was Kent States’ memorial weekend for the 5-year anniversary of the campus shootings), and it was just 2 days prior to the two nights of shows at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago May 10-11. Then, the McHenry Illinois High School special concert in McHenry, IL was on May 12. It was a free Eagles & Fogelberg concert for the students held at the high school, and it was won by the students by participating in a contest sponsored by WCFL radio station in Chicago.

The Eagles with guest star “Dan Fogelbert”?

Cincinnati’s curmudgeon, Cliff Radel, wrote his usual less-than-enthusiastic review of the Eagles.
Journey TO the Sorcerer?
What a nasty review. Insulting Bernie for his “paucity of talent” Cliff Radel likes the sound of his own voice. Certainly wasn’t listening to the music.
Cliff is something else. I remember reading that the Eagles had a “punch-’em-on-sight” list of critics. Cliff was probably at the top of that list. He just wasn’t able or refused to be nice when writing about them.
