The Dillon Stadium Eagles concert in Hartford, Connecticut was on September 25, 1972. The Eagles were touring with and supporting the Close to the Edge tour with Yes. Edgar Winter also was an opening act for Yes. This was the Eagles’ first tour.
The concert was originally set for August 14, but had to be rescheduled due to heavy rain. (Dillon is an outdoor stadium.) This Dillon Stadium show was one of several they opened for Yes in September and October of 1972. This concert was a few days after their Indianapolis concert on September 20.
Below is a short radio commercial announcement on Hartford radio station WDRC for the 3-band concert.

Randy’s shirt has the “War is not healthy” image that matches this sticker that is on his bass guitar.

Hartford Courant (Hartford, CT) – Aug. 16, 1972
“The Eagles began the concert, with a brief (45 minutes) show that really worked.”

I was there. The concert was originally scheduled for August 14, 1972, (exactly 52 years ago today), but was rained out.
I remember that you went to that show. I’m glad they rescheduled and didn’t just cancel it entirely, because that would have been sad. I just wish I had more pics from that concert, but I was never able to find anymore.
You always do a great job and you have more pics than I have since we didn’t have cell phones back then.
Thank you! I appreciate that.
I had that same sticker “War is not healthy for children and other living things” back in the day. It was the same size as the one Randy placed on his bass. That saying grew popular as the Vietnam war raged on.
That sticker on his bass has gained a lot of recognition.
